The Union of Democratic Forces is a political party in Bulgaria, founded in 1989 as a union of several political organizations in opposition to the communist government. The Union was transformed into a single unified party with the same name. The SDS is a member of the European People's Party (EPP). In the 1990s the party had the largest membership in the country, with one million members, but has since splintered into a number of small parties totaling no more than 40,000 members. The SDS proper had 12,000 members in 2016.
The Bulgarian National Revival, sometimes called the Bulgarian Renaissance, was a period of socio-economic development and national integration among Bulgarian people under Ottoman rule. It is commonly accepted to have started with the historical book, Istoriya Slavyanobolgarskaya, written in 1762 by Paisius, a Bulgarian monk of the Hilandar monastery at Mount Athos, lead to the National awakening of Bulgaria and the modern Bulgarian nationalism, and lasted until the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878 as a result of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78.

Istoriya Slavyanobolgarskaya is a book by Bulgarian scholar and clergyman Saint Paisius of Hilendar. Written in 1762, it is considered Saint Paisius of Hilendar's greatest work and one of the most influential pieces of the Bulgarian revival, as well as the first work of Bulgarian historiography.

Beron Point is a point on the southwest coast of Robert Island, Antarctica situated 4.5 km southeast of Negra Point, 1.7 km west of Bajo Nunatak, 1.8 km west-northwest of Zahari Point, and 3.7 km northwest of Edwards Point, as well as 5 km northeast of Ash Point on Greenwich Island. Its shape has been enhanced by a recent glacier retreat north-northwest of the point. It was named after the prominent Bulgarian scientist and educator Dr. Petar Beron (1795–1871).
The Dr. Petar Beron Bulgarian Men's High School of Addrianople was the first Bulgarian high school in Eastern Thrace. One of the most influential Bulgarian educational centres in Thrace, it was founded in 1891 in Ottoman Adrianople and existed until 1913. Among the initiators, principals and teachers at the high school were noted Bulgarian intellectuals, scientists, and public figures of the Bulgarian revolutionary movement and politics of the early 20th century.
Bulgarian Agricultural and Commercial Bank (BZTB) was a state bank in Bulgaria. It was created in 1969, together with the Bulgarian Industrial Bank. Both banks separated from the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), which retained the main functions of a central bank, but the banks rejoined the national bank in 1971.
